This session will focus on the human side of adherence, placing the patient experience at the heart of cardiometabolic care. Speakers will explore key barriers to adherence from the patient perspective, the impact of effective communication—or lack thereof—with individuals living with chronic conditions, and the crucial role of education for both healthcare professionals and patients. Real-world insights and the contribution of nurses in improving long-term management will be highlighted. The session will conclude with a dynamic roundtable discussion led by the chairs, followed by closing remarks from Professor Rosano, wrapping up the day’s learnings and perspectives.
